Bought as a result of a review in a newspaper.
Was not disappointed.
Just what my skin needed.
Very good item, slightly on the thick side but still is beneficial for s"lightly dry" skin, not overly dry skin though. It does sink in well but can feel a little heavy on face.
I found out about Cicalfate after having a bad break out from travelling and using irritating products.
So happy to have found a night cream (I use it during the day too sometimes if i'm not wearing makeup) that goes SO well over serums (really seals it all in and prevents waterloss). I use a gentle cleanser (ideally a milk that rinses well) then an acid toner (p50 is my fave) wait 10 mins then use a fortifying serum (i use the omega one by paulas choice) then top it off with this. Within a week my skin pretty much healed.
I have to say that for the last five years I am struggling with eczema on my legs skin. First 2 years I was trying different products from all over the world and end up with almost no skin on the legs: I was etching, scrabbling my poor skin, nothing helped me. Few products could stop a process, but anyway I lost 90% of the skin.
Luckily I met amazing dermatologist who helped me. Of course, there was a course of antibiotics, but the rest - Avene and Cicalfate in particular.
Since then I am using it every day, a very thin layer on a few areas where I can feel skin imperfection. Cicalfate doesn't have any smell, not sticky; my skin quickly absorbs it.
Also, I am using Avene XeraCalm Soap, Body Cold cream at winter for the rest of the body and Xera Calm cream or balm once per week for my legs.
